As a charity we aim to keep the costs involved as low as possible without compromising on the quality of the experience. The fee we charge helps us offset the costs of running the programmes. Unlike many organisations we do not make a profit from our volunteers!
Nevertheless we understand that it may seem like a large amount of money involved in doing a volunteering placement. We are here to support your son/daughter all the way to help them achieve their goal and successfully raise the funds towards their placement. We provide them with a fundraising pack full of support, ideas and advice to get them started and our dedicated fundraising team will support your son/daughter with their fundraising efforts and can provide them with material they may need for any events or help raise awareness with their local media.
We also offer the Lattitude Global Volunteering Bursary Scheme. If your son/daughter feels they are unable to raise all the funds themselves. We assess all our bursary applicants’ financial circumstances on an individual basis and could award them a bursary of anything between £500 to the full cost of their placement. They would still need to budget to cover the costs of flights, visa and insurance. For more details on our Bursary Scheme click here
