Fundraise for us

According to research carried out by Business in the Community, 70% of CEOs report that they believe Corporate Social Responsibility is an essential issue to their business. Fundraising at work is a great way to boost your company’s reputation with customers and staff, and it also provides your colleagues with a great chance to build on their teamwork!

Challenges

There are so many ways you, your colleagues or your entire company could fundraise for us. Why not get a group together and take part in one of our challenges of a lifetime, such as skydiving, run one of many marathons or a enter your car in a banger rally! We can arrange for you to take on a challenge overseas in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Americas or the Caribbean, as well as in the UK. Many companies are happy to match what their employees raise for charity, so don’t forget to ask about this! Click here for more information on our challenge events.

Community

Organise a fundraiser in the office, or, if customers regularly visit your workplace, why not involve them? You could dress up one day, or offer your customers the chance to enter a raffle in-store. You could hold a street collection or have a Work Sports Day. You could have a charity “swear box” or do a sponsored slim. All these things have the potential to involve everyone and raise lots of much-needed funds for Lattitude Global Volunteering, making you look great in front of your employees/ers and customers!

Corporate

Fundraising for a charity is a fantastic PR opportunity. We can help you generate PR in your local papers whether it’s to advertise an event you’d like the public to attend or simply reporting on the great things you’ve already done. It can improve staff morale and pride in their employer, as well as being great for teambuilding.

Payroll Giving - Encourage your employees to sign up to payroll giving. If you or your employees receive a salary, this is the simplest way to give. Give As You Earn is the UK’s largest payroll giving scheme and you can give directly from your pre-tax salary, so money that would normally go to the taxman goes to charity instead. You just decide how much you want to give each month - it could be a couple of pounds, or hundreds or thousands! Then your donation comes out of your pay packet before the taxman touches it. We benefit because we can plan ahead knowing that we have a regular, reliable income You benefit because you don’t pay any tax on the donations you make. If you’re a basic rate taxpayer, a gift of £5 only actually costs you £4 - so you can pass the tax relief on to the charity.

Sponsor a Programme – Put your company name against one of our life-changing placements around the world. We have programmes in teaching, caring, environment, outdoor activity, medical and community development placements and projects in Africa, Asia, Europe the Americas and Australasia – there are many to choose from and we can help you find one that reflects your aims and image.

Recycle your ink cartridges - Does your office get through countless ink cartridges that get thrown away once they’re empty? Why not collect them and use them to make a valuable contribution to a great cause? It’s easy and won’t cost you a penny, plus it’s great for the environment. Only 10% of inkjet cartridges are recycled compared to 30% of laser cartridges. Consider the impact of everyone collectively recycling cartridges: the savings to society would be significant. The cost is less than the price of a new cartridge, toxic waste is eliminated, and in many instances new jobs are created - particularly during a recession. And let’s not forget the benefits it makes to great organisations like Lattitude Global Volunteering!

You can also recycle your old mobile phones! You can also request collection boxes if you have around 50 phones or cartridges to recycle. You could put a box in your place of work along with the poster supplied when you register. It’ll soon fill up, and then you can arrange a free collection through the Recycle4Charity website. For every phone or cartridge recycled, Lattitude Global Volunteering will receive a donation to help us continue our work.

Every bag that is sent to you has your unique Supporter ID printed on it, so any items returned via these bags will also appear on your Breakdown Statement and you’ll be able to see exactly how much you’ve raised for Lattitude Global Volunteering.

Please note that unfortunately Epson cartridges are not accepted. For Laser and Toner Cartridge recycling please follow the instructions on the provided recycling poster.

Donate goods or services in kind - Sometimes the best way for businesses to help is by donating goods and services which they can get for less than we can. We will always need to fundraise, but money we can save is money we can put towards educating and developing young people worldwide. Perhaps your company makes a product we could benefit from. Anything from stationery and cleaning products for the office to laptops for our Local Representatives around the world, IT and graphic design services, USB sticks, train travel, printing costs – if you’re unsure, just give us a call to see if we can benefit from what you can spare.

Cause related marketing –Cause related marketing can improve sales and/or brand awareness and image. In research carried out by Business in the Community, it was discovered that 98% of consumers in the UK and USA are now aware of at least one Cause Related Marketing programme and 77% of Chief Executives, Marketing Directors and Community Affairs Directors believe Cause Related Marketing can enhance corporate or brand reputation and that consumers in the UK are purchasing a product associated with a good cause every second. Perhaps your company sells a product that could benefit from an endorsement from Lattitude Global Volunteering. It could be branded with our logo or sold with a percentage of the profit coming to us to help us with our work. Perhaps you would like to sponsor one of our placements and have your business associated with the work carried out by our volunteers at that placement. There are many options to explore, so if you would like to know more, please contact us on 0118 959 4914
