A gap year is a time of discovery. It’s a chance to find out who you really are and how you fit into the world. Don’t think of it as a break from education because it is an education in itself and you’ll return from your gap year more focused, mature and capable, ready for the next challenge in life, whether that is college or work.
Lattitude Global Volunteering has programs in 20 countries around the world where we send young people from both developed and developing countries to do valuable volunteering work.
We regularly place volunteers from the USA and have the structures and processes in place to make young Americans’ dreams come true. Our placements are fun, exciting and beneficial and cater to a whole spectrum of people, from those who have never travelled abroad before to those who cannot wait to get off the beaten track.
We believe in educating and developing young people (aged 17-25) through global volunteering. Our placements are long term and volunteers are placed only with host institutions with whom we have built up strong relationships over time. We firmly believe that volunteers can only make a difference when they are totally immersed in the host culture and that they will benefit from their volunteering in many different ways throughout their lives and careers.
