Brazil is famous for its breathtaking Amazon forest, lively samba carnival and world class football team. It has a history of economic boom and bust and 25 percent of its population currently live in poverty. Lattitude volunteers have worked on a variety of projects including teaching English in under-resourced state schools, in environmental centres to help sustain the natural environment and community centres to develop local initiatives.
