What can you do Community

Volunteer to spend your gap year working in one of Lattitude’s challenging Community programs.

Our volunteer gap year care programs are designed to improve the lives of those you will be working with and to challenge you. Community projects are as diverse as the countries they are offered in. Volunteers work within these main areas:

Care
Outreach

Development

You may choose to work in an orphanage, work with street children, help disabled or disadvantaged people to live more independent lives. Alternatively you could work on social projects with disadvantaged people and teach them new skills, or work with an NGO to create awareness about the organisation and its programs. Life on our community care programs is always varied and in some programs you may find themselves undertaking a combination of these duties.

If you have specialised experience or qualifications is physiotherapy or care work, we also have programs where your background will be especially welcome.

While each project comes with its own unique challenges, the strength and the resilience of the people you will be working for will inspire you to persevere.

These programs are amongst our most rewarding, and will suit patient, sensitive, mature volunteers who are flexible and have a can-do attitude.
